Carpet Recycle Center

      Are you a homeowner, installer or other contractor with used carpet to dispose of? Good news—you can now drop off used carpet for recycling at Serv-Wel Disposal, for a lower cost then taking it to the dump. The new service is offered in partnership with Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE), a non-profit organization working to increase the amount of carpet that gets recycled in California.
    We are located at 901 S. Maple Avenue in Montebello and are open from 7am to 3:30pm weekdays. For more information call 888-768-2246. To prepare used carpet for drop-off, it must be dry, free from tack strips, nails and other debris, and separated from the carpet pad. Cut carpet into manageable sections and roll it. Fold carpet padding and drop it off as well.
     For some installers that generate a large amount, we also offer 40yd roll off service.  For a fee you can have this large container on-site, so your installers don't need to make the trip to our facility, and you can get them back on the road to their next install.
     With more than 300 million pounds discarded each year, used carpet is among the top ten materials in California landfills. But carpet can be recycled into useful products, including new carpet, carpet padding, insulation and even traffic signs! CARE is working to build a network of drop-off locations throughout the state to collect used carpet for recycling. By participating in the program, we'll be doing our part to keep carpet out of the landfill.

Drop off at our facility

When you come to our facility, we charge per truckload (3 cubic yards).  We'll have you park and we will bring a 3 yard bin to your truck for you to fill up.  After you fill it, we will load that carpet into our trucks and take it to the facility where the carpet is processed.

Storage Rolloff for Installers

This container is 20' long, 6' tall and 8' wide.  It also has a roof to keep the carpet dry so the processor will accept it.  Please make sure no tack strips and nails are inside the rolls when you load these.
