Q. What is the difference between a "Trash Bin" (also called a "Dumpster") and a "Roll-Off Box"?
A. Trash bin is typically a steel container with casters so it can be moved from its stationary collection location over to the front-loading trash truck on pick-up day. It also may have lids to cover the waste collected. Trash bins, also called dumpsters by many, are widely used at commercial businesses, apartment complexes, schools and retail stores because of there manageable size (easy to place and store on site), durability and portability. The most common size for a trash bin, or dumpster is 3-cubic yards, which is why we have selected this size as the most practical for our standard rental bin service.
a "Roll-Off" box is a much larger container that requires a specially designed truck to deliver and pick it back up. Roll-off bins literally roll-off the long rails as part of the truck's rear bed each time they are unloaded or loaded. These boxes come in a variety of lengths (16', 18' and 20') having different sidewall heights to provide the different cubic foot waste content areas. The standard roll-off sizes we can provide for rental is 10-cubic yard, 20-cubic yard and 40-cubic yard boxes.
Q. What are the dimensions, applications and weight limits of your rented trash bins and roll-off boxes?
3-cubic yard trash bin: 4'H x 4'W x 6'L / 800-lb weight limit
Application: General clean-up of smaller commercial projects and residential waste.
10-cubic yard roll-off: 2'H x 8'W x 16'L / Fill to Capacity
Application: Also referred to as a "low boy" roll-off, used for concrete, dirt, asphalt, brick, sand and rock
20-cubic yard roll-off: 3,5'H x 8'W x 18'L / 6-ton weight limit
Application: Large construction clean-ups, general trash and roofing material
40-cubic yard roll-off: 6'H x 8'W x 20'L / 6-ton weight limit
Application: Large clean-up projects with loose and/or bulky trash content.
Q. How can I pay for my rented trash dumpster or roll-off box?
A. We accept payment in the form of VISA, MasterCard and Discover credit cards for all residential customers and first-time commercial customers. Commercial clients with a previous history and are in good standing can make payments with a company check, or be billed Net-30 if they have an approved credit account on file with us.
Q. Do you recycle my collected waste?
A. A Rent-A-Bin and Serv-Well Disposal have business relations with many local Material Recovery Facilities (MRF's) and smaller recycling facilities in the area. Depending on the content of the collected waste, it may be suitable to transfer some of that waste to specific recycling facilities for further processing. We can only make a determination after inspecting the contents of the waste container once it has been picked-up from the job-site.
Our goal is always to recycle as much collected waste as possible and as practical for the good of our environment.
